Purpose of mission:
Within the framework of the AKPO Operations - AKPO being a large FPSO, associated to a deep-sea Oil & Gas field - the main service consists in assisting the Offshore Head of Maintenance & Inspection in the implementation of the Maintenance and Inspection tasks in general, and in particular on the following pieces of equipment: the FPSO hull and its associated machineries, the process utilities, the marine equipment including the buoy (SBM).
Complementarily, the assistance may be extended, as the case may be, to technical support on other systems including process systems, and to the coordination with the Marine Certification Authorities.
The duty include the monitoring of the equipment, the supervision of the works performed by the various contractors, and a significant contribution to improvements by drafting procedures or revised works plans, training of staff, and other similar duties.
Mission:
- Provides Marine Expertise to the Maintenance and Inspection teams (both offshore, but also onshore team), in any matter for the purpose of ensuring asset integrity and efficient management.
- Ensures that the hull and its machineries satisfy the operational requirements, and are properly maintained and inspected in accordance with the local statutory requirements, the Marine Certification requirements, and the Company Rules and Specifications.
- Supervises, as required by hierarchy the works performed by the Maintenance and Inspection contractors on the FPSO hull and its associated machineries, the process utilities, the marine equipment including the buoy (SBM), and other equipment as specified by hierarchy.
- Ensures that the maintenance and inspection works are performed safely, in accordance with the Company HSEQ standards.
- Develops and follows-up performance and condition monitoring tools and techniques for the purpose of controlling the equipment condition.
- Studies the modifications proposed to enhance the equipment performance.
- Contributes to the optimisation of the Maintenance and Inspection practices, proposes improvements on both technical and managerial matters.
- Prepares or updates procedures as required in view of asset integrity and work optimisation.
- Performs technical investigations and trouble shooting as required.
- Issue reports both technical and managerial as required.
- Coordinates and performs as required the training of Production operators and Maintenance staff (Nigerians & Expatriates) for the operation and maintenance of the hull equipments.
- Participates to the management of the Maintenance and Inspection activities, attends daily, weekly and ad-hoc meetings.
- Assists the Offshore Head of Maintenance & Inspection in his duties as required.
The candidate:
- Education: Certified Chief engineer
- Training: BOSIET
- Professional experience (total number of years): 10 years experience at sea, including at least 5 years on trading tanker
- Language: English – fluent level
