1. Senior Geologist
- Comprehensive knowledge of the entire exploration cycle.
- Interpretating and correlating of well logs and other regional geological data using commercially available software.
- Basin modeling and sequence stratigraphy.
- Integrating all geological data for regional play analysis, prospect evaluation, and appraisal and development activities.
- Working in different geological settings including clastics, carbonates, passive margin, and thrust belts terrains.
- Prospect volume and risking methodologies and reservoir modeling.
- Working knowledge of other subsurface disciplines including seismic techniques and reservoir engineering.
- Working with a drilling team to ensure correct inputs for well planning and execution purposes.
- Performing special projects and studies requiring advanced geological knowledge and skill to recommend to management better and more cost efficient methods for finding commercial quantities of hydrocarbons and mitigating risk.
- Internal and external WP&B preparation for government agencies and joint venture partners.
- Dealing with related external government agencies such as BP Migas and Migas and joint venture partners when presenting technical justifications for work programs and budgets.
2. Senior Geophysicist
- Planning designing and processing 2D/3D seismic surveys.
- Performing 2D/3D seismic data interpretations on various commercial software systems.
- Integrating all geological/geophysi cal data for regional play analysis, prospect evaluation, and appraisal and development activities.
- Integrating, calibrating such information in order to carry out geometry and attribute analysisdepth conversion and mapping.
- Volumetric reserve calculations on leads, prospects and existing discoveries.
- Perform special projects and studies requiring advanced geophysical knowledge and skill to recommend to management better and more cost efficient methods for finding commercial quantities of hydrocarbons.
- Dealing with related external government agencies such as BP Migas and Migas and joint venture partners.
3. Technical Assistant.
- Ideal candidate should have the following experience gained from working within a major Indonesian operating company:-
- Be proficient in the use of computer aided drafting programs such as Corel Draw, Map Info, GIS or Auto CAD in order to provide technical drafting support to exploration and drilling departments.
- Competent in using all relevant computer programs to input/retrieval and update a G&G data base.
- Organizing and managing a G&G data base which will allow multi disciplined users to access and retrieve data with ease.
Qualifications:
- Degree BSc / MSc in Geosciences (Geology, Geophysics)
- 8 - 10 years experience in the oil and gas Industry.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple ongoing projects, with advice from leadership.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate with internal peers, partners and 3rd parties to influence decisions or ways of working.
- Deliver detailed prospect analysis reports in English.
- On-the-job experience of integrated prospect evaluation and resource assessment with modern technology, maturing prospects and make decision for optimally drilling them cost effectively.
- Must be a self starter with good decision-taking skills with ability to plan and organize workload effectively and a proven ability to work under pressure without sacrificing quality.
- Good team player with a proactive and flexible attitude, and able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
