Offshore Coordinator, QPS

Job Title : Offshore Coordinator, QPS
Job Family : Construction/Marine Operations
Work Location : Indonesia Office + Offshore during installation phases
Report t: Resident Offshore Installation Manager
Liaises with : QPS Company site Representative, QPS Construction Manager, Interface Coordinator


The Offshore Coordinator - QPS will form part of the installation team based in Ulsan, but will be detached tQPS management and other site locations in Asia.
He will report tthe Installation Manager and alsliaise closely with the QPS Company Site Representative


Roles and Activities:
  • Responsible tOffshore Installation Mgr for the scope associated with the installation of the QPS, Flare platform & associated bridges.
  • Promotes implementation of safe working practices and project HSE requirements
  • Monitors and obtain from QPS Contractor, all the procedures related tweighing, load-out, sea-fastening, transportation and installation of there respective packages.
  • Seeks solutions for maintaining project schedule requirements
  • Liaises closely with project team (QPS CSR, Installation Mgr, and Interface Coordinator) tensure compatibility with other field and third party contractor activities
  • Review and comment of all applicable contractor installation procedures.
  • Coordination of company project specialists (survey/ positioning, welding, naval architect, diving specialist)
  • Obtain all information required for approvals by third party bodies & in particular the Marine Warranty Surveyor.
  • Organize meetings with contractor offshore teams tdevelop the work program & relevant procedures. Collects information and ensures that Company's instructions are understood and implemented by the Contractor.
  • In liaison with the Interface Manager, verifies any possibility of clashes and takes appropriate actions toptimize the GBS overall offshore schedule.
  • Ensures implementation of project specifications and requirements in the contractor procedures.
  • Verify the suitability of the vessels proposed by Contractors, verifies certificates and organize acceptance visits in line with marine Warranty Surveyor and Marine Superintendent.
  • Prepares the offshore operations, elaborates the bridging documents, performs the selection of Company representative onboard the construction vessels (Company Rep, HSE engineer, Positioning, Soil and Pile driving, welding specialists).
  • Assists Offshore Installation Manager with respect tcommunications with Marine Authorities, PTT Marine Superintendent and existing operations personnel on site (WPS1).
  • Assistance with preparation of the necessary COMOPS dossier, bridging documents.
  • Assistance with preparation of all logistics procedures and equipment for people and material.
  • Coordination of the transfer of personnel and equipment onboard construction vessels upon their arrival on site.

SSHE responsibilities:
  • Promote safety good practice within his team and Contractors team.
  • Ensure that HSE procedures are properly implemented. In particular verify during vessels visits that all HSE material are in an acceptable condition.
  • Make HSE suggestions, report incidents, near misses, anomalies, unsafe acts or conditions observed tSSHE, during onshore and offshore operations.
  • Stop work and proactively intervene when witness unsafe activities, conditions.

Professional Knowledge & Experience:
  • Experience in jacket and topside installation, heavy lift
  • Experience of working in East Asia desirable
  • Offshore installation (Jacket and Topsides): Min 5yrs
  • Professional Experience (number of years) : Min 15yrs
  • Experience within project : (number of years) : Min 10yrs
  • Valid BOSIET & HUET certificate
